Three people in a modern lobby: one with a microphone, another with headphones giving thumbs up, and the third with a camera on a tripod.

This week was packed with creativity and collaboration! In Pawel’s class, we worked on a group project focused on filming Vox pop interviews. I was teamed up with Miles, Georgiana, and Charlie, and I took on the role of videographer for the project.

Capturing spontaneous and honest reactions was both challenging and exciting, but seeing everything come together in my own video edit made it all worth it. You can check out my edit below!

Later in the week, we shifted gears in Julia’s class, where we explored Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs and how it applies to the creative industries. It was fascinating to see how understanding human motivation can help us create more impactful and meaningful work. It made me think about how our creative choices can connect with audiences on a deeper emotional level.

In the afternoon, we received the brief for our next big project — a documentary film. There was a buzz of excitement in the room as we were divided into teams and started brainstorming ideas.

By Friday, my team and I dove straight into the research phase. Since we already know who the hero of our documentary will be, the process felt much more focused and allowed us to start shaping the story early on.

This week has been a great balance of hands-on experience and thoughtful learning. I’m excited to continue developing our documentary and see how our ideas unfold on screen!
