Fixing mistakes with the camera

On Monday in Pawel's class we had another team activity. I worked with Anna, Jay, Noah and Olivia. The task was to adjust the position of the camera to create a good looking shot. I had a camera layout in my head, but in practice it was not quite right. I asked Pawel for help and he showed me an alternative layout that was perfect for the format of my podcast and better suited the genre.

Diving into the profession of cinematography

On Tuesday we had a talk with Julia about the different roles in the industry. We looked at examples of famous cinematographers and discussed the duties of a cinematographer in detail. Julia also talked about the differences between shooting with a digital camera and a film camera - this was particularly interesting as the technology is changing but each has its advantages.

This week provided a lot of useful information and each lesson helped me to better understand how to apply new knowledge to our projects.
