How we made a funny an advert about rubber - Roberto

This week, my team of classmates - John, Neve, ⁠Georgiana and I were faced with the interesting task of filming an advert or recording an interview. After discussion, we decided to film a commercial for rubbing gum by consensus. Why this one? Firstly, we had already done an interview last week, and secondly, who would turn down the opportunity to show creativity in such a small, seemingly simple subject!

The idea behind the video

Our main concept was the unusual use of a rubber: it not only erases pencil marks, but also bad moods. We played out several humorous scenes where the rubber literally saves the day. For example, our one character used it to call the doctor when he felt sick. We tried to show that a magic eraser will help in any situation - whether it's studying or something unexpected in life.

The filming process

The filming process turned out to be exciting and full of surprises. It was not easy to plan every shot, but the idea for the plans came right during the work. We shot a lot of takes, tried different angles and effects, and, of course, we had a lot of laughs. It was especially fun when something didn't go according to plan, and we had to think of ways to make it even more creative.

Everyone on the team actively contributed their suggestions and ideas, which made the filming process really lively and exciting. It was a great teamwork experience and an opportunity to experiment with shooting techniques.

Final result

After a few hours of work we have a funny and colourful commercial that fully captures our mood and creativity. We were able to combine humour with useful information, showing a simple thing from a new angle. The final video turned out just as we wanted it to be - fun, unusual and inspiring.

This experience has shown us how important it is to be flexible and creative on set, because it is in the process that the best ideas are born. Not only did we learn new skills, but we also had fun at work
